Paper piecing

Ok, I'm absolutely loving this washi tape!  I used two types, the caution tape and the glittery black.  The glittery black reminded me of new pavement so I just had to pair it with Car Riley!  I have paper pieced the car body and Riley's scarf.

In all my excitement over the washi tape I have forgotten to tell you that Heather has challenged the Riley and Company design team to do some paper piecing!  Care to join us?  Upload your project to the blog here.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the design teams projects:

Love is in the air!

Good morning!  If you are like us and in the Northeast you are digging out from under another foot of snow.  Yes, that makes 3.5 feet for us, at least in our part of the state.  Cleaning up from that when everyone in your family is getting over the flu is not a pretty site.  I love my family.  With a lot of cooperation and pushing through the dregs of this dreaded illness we have almost cleared spaces for the cars to go in and out!  Joy.  Love.  How is that for a segue?  Ha.

So Joy has challenged the Riley and Company design team to make something with a LOVE theme.  I really liked the Love More sentiment from the latest release, but wasn't sure how to use it.  Then, I remembered the 3D ornaments everyone was making at Christmas time and thought I could do something like that, only with cut-out hearts instead of ornament shapes.  Here's how it came out:

My daughter is such an awesome crafter.  She helped with the sponging!  Here's a close up:

I would like to add this to the following challenges:

Bunny Zoe Crafts - hearts
Crafty Boots Challenge - hearts and Valentines
Dream Valley - Valentine's Day
Whoopsie Daisy - Pretty in Pink

Please head on over to the other DT blogs to check out their creations:

Have a great week and good luck unburying from the snow!
