Dream Valley Challenge #8 - Stamp Something

This week at Dream Valley the challenge is to STAMP SOMETHING!  Yup that's it, but be sure that you are using a RUBBER stamp.

Our sponsors this week are PaperMaze and Funky Kits!  Make sure you stop by their sites and get some shopping in!  Let's get inky!

For my card I have brayered a background on white paper using yellow, orange and olive green ink.  On top of that I have used all Stampscapes stamps.  Stamps used are:  Cabin with Fence, Old Fence, Sedge Filler.  I also distressed the edges of the image panel and the orange panel and rubbed the distressed edges with black ink.  I tried to curl the edges to give it that aged photo look, but it probably would have looked more authentic if I had used browns!  Oh well!

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Secret Crafter Saturdays - Clean and Simple
Charisma Cardz - Boy oh Boy
Paper Romance - Distressing
Some Odd Girl - Make a scene

Come join us at Dream Valley!

ABC Challenge - U is for Unusual Fold

This week Team B at ABC Challenge would like you to use an unusual fold on your card or project.  We are sponsored this week by Whiff of Joy:

They are donating this adorable stamp:

For my card I have made a Pentagon Petal Card using the template that I found here.

I traced and cut out two of the shapes using white paper.  The stamps come from a Stampin Up set called Sparkling Summer.  The outside I stamped the popsicle over and over with Momento Tuxedo Black.  I colored them in with my copics.  Because the copics showed through I made the inside on the other cut out and then taped them together.  On the inside I sponged blues and browns to make a beach scene and stamped the chair over it.  Colored the chair in with my copics and sponged a bit more blue on the petals.  The copics I used were:  R46, YR04, YG03, E11

I can't wait to see what unusual fold you show us at ABC!

One Layer Embossing

Hi there!  It's been a rainy start to the week so here I am with a quick post with something I whipped up yesterday.  It is a one layer card that I have made for the challenge at Less Is More.  The challenge is to use embossing on a one layer card.  I have heat embossed all of the black.  I am also entering into the challenge at Crafty Cardmakers for embossing.

I also used the challenge from The Crazy Challenge to make it pink and green.  This is made using pretty much all Stampin' Up products except for the ribbon.  This was my first time making a pleated ribbon, but I like how it turned out.  I made the rose from the same pink ribbon to coordinate.

Have a great day!

Dream Valley Challenge #7 - Old and New

I'm sorry I have been missing from blogland so much in the past two weeks, but here's a picture of something that has been taking up lots of time these days:

Yes both of my children are playing baseball/t-ball right now, and between that and yard work I haven't had much time to create!  I hear blogger had a bit of a vacation too though!

Ok, the challenge at Dream Valley this week is to use both new and old items on/in your creation!  Please don't forget to link to the challenge and name what is old/new on your projects!

Our sponsor this week is Digi's With Attitude.  We were given some new digi's to play with.  I have used Disco Tween:

Here is the whole card:

My new items are the Disco Tween digi from Digi's With Attitude and my new pearls from Close to My Heart.  The old items are the papers I had in my scrap box and ribbon that I wasn't ever sure what to put with it!  Guess I found the right stamp for it!  I have also distressed the paper edges and used direct to paper technique with my Close to Cocoa ink pad from Stampin' Up.  The copics that I have used for this project are:  B00, C1, E00, E11, E18, E35, R29, R24, R22

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Mojo Monday - sketch
Stamp, Scrap, and Doodle - use old supplies
Stamp Something - anything goes
Craft Us Crazy - Favorite Embellishment/something new
