Sorry so late!

It has been an interesting couple of weeks with vehicle troubles and they all seem to be coming to a head today, so I'm going to make this a quick post and get back to my secretary job! lol

Today is my last post as guest designer for Craft Your Passion challenges.  I want to thank everyone for welcoming me, and Lisa especially for answering all my questions!

Today we want you to use teddy bears on your cards.  That's right, Grin and Bear It!  That has seemed to be my motto with the car troubles too!  Perfect!

I have used this cute digi image from CocoDingo.  Using the sketch from Cards and Things I brayered some glossy cardstock and cut and arranged them for the background.  I cut the image out using the Creative Memories oval cutting system.  Here are the copics I used to color the image:

I hope everyone has a great week, as mine can only get better! lol

ABC Challenge - Q is for....

Quilting/sewing!!!  This week at ABC we want to see some quilting or sewing on your project!  We are sponsored by Stamp Fairy this week, and were given some cute digis to work with!

I have used Lenny dressed up as a bumble bee!  So cute!

I tried something new with this card and tried a tutorial you can find here at Splitcoaststampers.  I have quilted a background for this image.  I'm thinking of a nice quilt to have picnics on, with the bees buzzing around!  Can you tell I'm so glad the snow is starting to melt!?!

Here's another pic of the quilt!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

The winner will receive 3 digis of their choice, so get crafting with us at ABC!

I have decided to keep it simple for this challenge.  The sketch I used is from Eat Sleep Stamp.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up set Many Thanks.  The papers are from my stash and I have colored the image with my copics.

Thanks for looking!

Craft Your Passion - GDT Post #2

Blog Badg.jpg

I'm happy to be back with you again the my second post for Craft Your Passion Challenges!  This time we have a sketch for you to work with:

With mine I have used an image from CoCoDinGo and colored him with my copics.

For the background I have used a direct to paper technique.  I have tried to emulate Michelle Zindorf from her post here, but I think I fell rather short!  Oh well, live and learn! lol  The dog is from Stampin' Up set All in The Family, and the ink on the background is also from Stampin' Up.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafty Emma's - men only

Make sure you head over to Craft Your Passion Challenges and use our sketch!

GDT Good News!

Hello and happy Monday to you all!  I am very excited to tell you the news!  I have been chosen for a Guest Design spot for the month of March at Craft Your Passion Challenges!  Isn't that wonderful!?!  Thanks to the Lisa and the whole DT who have made me welcome!

This weeks challenge is an easy one!  Anything goes!
I have been given a cute cocker spaniel from Lauretta's Digi Stamps to work with, isn't he cute!?

Using this I have made a doggie treat box!  I would love to tell you who made the perfect paper for this project, but I have to say I have begged, borrowed and stolen this from my mom's box of single sheets and it didn't have a name on it!  I can tell you that the ribbon is adhesive backed and came from DCWV.  It was perfect for this project because it was some extra support for the box!

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

Charisma Cardz - 4 legged friends
Do You Stack Up - anything with green
Meljen's - use an animal
Corrosive Challenges - going green
Aly's Sunday Challenge - Anything goes

Thanks for looking, and be sure to play in the challenge at Craft Your Passion!

New Beginnings at Dream Valley

Our first challenge over at Dream Valley was a huge success!  Thank you everyone who participated!  I really enjoyed looking at all the variety of projects that were uploaded!

As that was the first challenge it only ran for one week, but this second and any subsequent challenges will run for two weeks.  This time the challenge is New Beginnings.  For example:  new baby, new car, new house, wedding etc.  We are sponsored by One Stop Card Crafts and Crafty Ribbons. One Stop Card Crafts is offering up a 10 pound gift voucher valid at their shop.  Crafty Ribbons is providing the new Bev bag selection.  Great prizes, so make sure you come share your new beginning!

I have made a "just moved" postcard that I am very proud of!  It is the first time that I have combined a digi and a rubber stamp in the same project.  The house is a digi from Pollycraft and the truck and it's contents and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up sets Loads of Love and Loads of Love Accessories.  I stamped/printed the images and colored them with my copics.

The blue sky and the ground I have sponged on with Stampin' Up ink Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa.  I have stamped the sentiment in the upper left and then adhered the truck with some pop dots.

I have also entered this card into Papertake Weekly Challenge of anything goes and use something old.  The Loads of Love Set has definitely seen some age, but I love it!

Have a great week everyone!
